While there is very little in the way of scientific studies regarding the benefits of placenta encapsulation, We had seen through ancedotal findings that there is a potential for benefits with reduced postpartum depression and anxiety, reduced postpartum bleeding, help with those baby blues and hormonal balance, Along with many other benefits reported.

Contraindications – Active infection during labor and meconium staining on the placenta.

Safety Standards

I am a trained placenta encapsulation specialist have completed an OSHA-approved Bloodborne Pathogen & Infection Control Training, I hold a Texas Food Handler’s Certification and adhere to meticulous sanitation standards to ensure you receive the highest quality finished product. This includes proper transportation and refrigeration protocols, only handling one placenta at a time and the use of bleach and/or hospital-grade disinfectant before and after preparation. 


Quality– We use only preservative-free, additive-free and non-GMO capsules and offer the steam-prep method of steaming, slicing and dehydrating your placenta at 160 degrees. We never add any herbs or spices to your placenta. For tinctures, we use a high-quality, triple distilled 100-proof vodka or, for those with gluten sensitivities, we offer a gluten-free version as well. For Salves, we use high quality organic ingredients. Placenta salves and balms can be used in many ways for mother AND baby! Use on perineal tears, c-section scars(once wound is closed), and stretch marks, or diaper rashes, baby acne, scrapes, eczema, cradle cap, cracked or sore nipples etc. **Please always do an allergy test in a small area.

Recommended Usage

Days 1-5: 2 caps 3x per day

Days 6-10: 2 caps, 2x per day

Days 10+: 2 caps, 1 per day or as needed

Store in a cool, dry place (not the refrigerator). Consider taking with food to reduce the risk of stomach upset. Every body is unique, listen to your body and adjust your dosage as needed. This may include taking an extra capsule or cutting back or skipping a dose(s) as needed. Headache or excess energy may indicate a need to reduce your dosage. Avoid taking at the same time as your prenatal vitamin or iron supplements

After 6 weeks, double-bag any remaining capsules into freezer storage bags and place into a deep freezer to prolong freshness.

On average, most folks get anywhere between 80-130 capsules depending on the size of their placenta. Placenta pickup will be within 2 hours of baby’s arrival. You will need to take a small cooler and 2 gallon sized ziplock bags with you to your place of birth.
